Body color of the Pateri is white and face, neck and years are reddish brown. The Pateri is also included in one of the heaviest breeds of goats found in Sindh. The ears are long, wide and drooping. The udder is well developed and milk yield is more than 1 liter per day (170 litters/120 day ) lactation. Adult males and females have their weight 52 and 42 KGs respectively. Twin births are common. The goats are raised for meat and milk. Fattened males are always in great demand on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
